Averley Pump Station, Emergency Storage Vessels, Rising Main, & Outfall Sewer Overview

The project involved civil works for construction of new Sewer Pump Station & Emergency Storage Vessels together with rising main and outfall sewer which was critical to connect the new Averley Estate Development to existing sewer services.

Delplant was responsible for the following works:

  1. Install 1No. new Precast Concrete sewer pump stations (SPS) 3.2m diameter x 7.8m deep.
  2. Install 1No. Fibreglass Emergency Storage Vessels (3m dia x 24m long) and associated emergency relief structures.
  3. Construct 1No. Scour pit.
  4. 1040LM of sewer rising main (DN180 HDPE).
  5. 297LM of new outfall sewer (300mm PVC) from sub-division to new pump station.
  6. 400LM of new outfall sewer (OD345 GRP & 280 HDPE) via combination of laser bore and directional drilling along existing road and under Gas transmission mains.
  7. 130m2 concrete buoyancy slab, site fencing & bollards.

There were many factors involved with delivering that made this a complex job:

  1. Working alongside existing Dore Road under traffic management.
  2. Locating and protecting existing 3 No Gas Transmission mains to bore under at 3 locations.
  3. Working in accordance with APA and Beach Energy guidelines while working alongside and in gas easements.
  4. Combined gravity sewer and rising main split-level trenching to concrete encase pipelines.
  5. Restricted access for storage tank delivery.

Delplant successfully and safely delivered the project on time and on budget.
